Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger with precision.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and provide support to external auditors during their annual review process.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast financial performance and manage annual budgets effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
