Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations and support external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Expertise in financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly
- Kentucky CPA license required or ability to obtain within 6 months
