Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15+ client portfolios including GL maintenance, month-end close, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with variance reporting for C-suite stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes ensuring 99.8% accuracy in transactions
- Lead tax preparation and compliance initiatives for multi-state entities
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred)
- Mentor junior accountants on best practices and regulatory updates
- Conduct internal audits and SOX compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with CPA license (or CPA track progress)
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP platforms
- Proven track record managing SOX compliance and internal controls
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and multi-state tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong project management experience with ability to prioritize competing deadlines
