Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and filing necessary reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts to support executive decision-making.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of tax laws and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
