Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closes, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax documentation
- Develop financial models and reports to support strategic business decisions
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred)
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Expertise in financial reporting, tax preparation, and audit compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment
- Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving abilities
