Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Lead tax compliance activities including sales tax filings and corporate tax preparations
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations (California-specific knowledge a plus)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
