Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 10-15 diverse clients
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Lead quarterly and annual tax compliance processes
- Implement and optimize internal controls for remote workflows
- Mentor junior accountants using our proprietary cloud-based platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives
- Conduct forensic audits and fraud prevention assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and NC tax codes
- Proven experience managing remote accounting teams
- Certification in forensic accounting or fraud examination
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
