Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for Colorado-based clients
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and financial modeling
- Lead internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance for state and federal requirements
- Maintain client relationships through proactive financial consultations and strategic guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA designation strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite)
- Deep knowledge of Colorado tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Proven track record in financial reporting, auditing, and process improvement
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment
