Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, reconciliations, and audit schedules
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including federal, state, and local filings
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Provide strategic financial consulting to clients in manufacturing and retail sectors
- Mentor junior accountants and review team deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with macros
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Virginia tax codes
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
