Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with Ohio tax regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and documentation
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Provide responsive client support during business hours (9 AM - 5 PM)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Ohio tax compliance
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with 99.9% accuracy in financial work
- Effective communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with multi-state tax filings a plus
