Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance commentary
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead month-end closing procedures and provide financial insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams and implementing process improvements
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
