Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Conduct internal audits to verify financial accuracy and implement control improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations and assist with tax preparation
- Maintain and improve accounting systems to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proven experience managing month-end closing processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
