Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Conduct detailed audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Oversee tax preparation filings and ensure adherence to federal/state regulations
- Maintain digital financial records using QuickBooks and Excel with advanced formulas
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis for department heads
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and regulatory compliance standards
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing financial tasks
