Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls
- Collaborate with tax department on multi-state compliance initiatives
- Develop financial models and variance analysis for executive reporting
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process documentation improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and GAAP standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Proven experience leading month-end closes and financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in public accounting or financial services highly desirable
