Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives for corporate and client accounts
- Coordinate external audits and implement process improvements
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Develop financial models and variance analysis for strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Louisiana tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state accounting and consolidated reporting
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
