Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and credit card statement analyses.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and filings.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis for leadership.
- Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and depreciation logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
