Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for corporate clients
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with GAAP compliance
- Lead internal audits and SOX 404 documentation initiatives
- Develop tax strategies and optimize financial structures
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Mentor junior accountants and supervise accounting staff
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (Sage/NetSuite)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience in Houston market
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of Texas tax regulations and SEC reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven track record of managing high-volume client portfolios
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
