Responsibilities
- Manage complex month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead tax preparation and compliance for diverse business entities (C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships)
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Analyze financial data to provide strategic insights and business recommendations
- Collaborate with audit teams and manage client relationships
- Supervise junior accountants and process improvement initiatives
- Utilize advanced Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Intacct)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Proven leadership in training and mentoring staff
