Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Manage complex reconciliations for multi-entity portfolios
- Lead month-end/year-end closing processes for government contracts
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Develop financial models for grant reporting and forecasting
- Mentor junior accountants on technical procedures
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years public/private accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Government/nonprofit accounting background essential
- Deep knowledge of FAR/FTR regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
