Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Lead audit coordination for external CPA firms and regulatory bodies
- Develop financial models and forecasts for strategic decision-making
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and cash flow management
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
- Train junior staff on accounting systems and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage multi-state tax filings and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with non-profit or government accounting a plus
