This hybrid role combines strategic financial analysis with hands-on accounting operations in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Lead client audits and ensure GAAP compliance for 15+ portfolio companies
- Develop and implement internal controls for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with CFOs on strategic financial planning and forecasting
- Mentor junior accountants using our proprietary accounting software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years public accounting or corporate finance experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills with Power BI experience
- Deep understanding of Michigan tax regulations and compliance
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing
