Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for diverse portfolio of Bay Area clients
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end/year-end closing processes and reconcile accounts
- Develop and implement streamlined accounting workflows using cloud-based systems
- Conduct in-depth financial audits and provide strategic tax optimization guidance
- Mentor junior accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Drive process improvements using advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for client interactions and team collaboration
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and controls
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-management capabilities
