Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and general ledger maintenance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with reconciliations
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial operations
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/SEC regulations
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
