Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end/quarter-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Lead complex reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet accounts
- Design and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and process efficiency
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry standards
- Mentor junior accountants and improve department workflows using automation tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, and Excel with VBA skills
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
- Proven track record of process improvement and automation implementation
