Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and review complex tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors for smooth process execution
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on technical accounting matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Proven track record of managing month-end close and audit processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
- Maintains active CPA license
