Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with 15+ vendors/clients
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and audit documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Implement process improvements using advanced Excel and ERP systems
- Manage tax preparation and compliance for multi-state operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven experience with month-end close and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Detroit metro area residency required
