Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Conduct comprehensive account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Analyze financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial systems
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in GAAP and tax compliance standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with multi-state tax filings a plus
