Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and payroll processing
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial systems
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Create financial forecasts and support budgeting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month-end close
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling
