Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Assist in external audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or finance setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
