Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Oversee general ledger reconciliations and complex account analysis
- Lead internal control testing and SOX compliance documentation
- Coordinate annual audit processes with external auditors
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
- 5+ years of public accounting or corporate finance experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and SAP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Active DC professional license preferred
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
