Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state tax requirements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and file business tax returns and sales tax filings
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and tax engagements
- Maintain organized financial records using QuickBooks and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
