Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 15-20 diverse business clients
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows)
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with strict deadlines
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with audit teams during quarterly reviews and annual examinations
- Maintain and optimize accounting software systems for efficiency
- Provide strategic financial guidance to client management teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing month-end closing processes
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Nebraska CPA license required or ability to obtain within 6 months
