Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and assist with SOX compliance
- Lead budget forecasting and variance analysis for departmental initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records in Oracle ERP system
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and NY tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle ERP, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder presentations
