Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing necessary documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit cycle.
- Provide financial forecasting and modeling support for strategic business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
