As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. We utilize modern accounting software and value efficiency, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and month-end close packages in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and accurate.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with changing regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal control procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
