Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and cash flow management
- Lead audit coordination with external CPA firms and regulatory agencies
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial processes
- Collaborate with FP&A team on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and NY tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or projects
- Certification in relevant accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) a plus
