Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and GAAP standards
