Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews for portfolio companies
- Develop and implement financial controls and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting
- Lead tax preparation and documentation for S-Corporations
- Mentor junior accounting staff on GAAP standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Xero
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros)
- Proficiency with accounting software implementation
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
