Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, budgets, and variance reports for executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Coordinate external audits and ensure adherence to federal/state tax regulations
- Develop financial models and provide strategic insights for business decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows using ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
