Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP.
- Perform complex reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, coordinating with external auditors during annual audits.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets and forecast financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
