Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjusting entries.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Support the tax preparation process and coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews.
- Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets for financial modeling and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
