Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and timely reconciliation of all accounts, including bank and credit card accounts.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, maintaining strict compliance with all tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit process to ensure internal controls are effective.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close procedures with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and forecasting support to senior management to aid in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
