Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements.
- Perform complex account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections.
- Prepare and analyze variance reports, providing insights to senior management to support decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and working closely with external auditors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
