Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax requirements
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with CFOs to develop strategic financial forecasts and budgets
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and SAP systems
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate sector
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Tax preparation experience for both individuals and corporations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail-oriented documentation
- Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team leadership
