Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and NY regulatory requirements
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
