Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare complex individual and corporate tax returns ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Collaborate with audit teams to facilitate smooth external reviews
- Implement process improvements using accounting software and automation tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public practice or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and California tax codes
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex financial data clearly
- Proven track record of managing multi-state tax compliance
