Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial records.
- Oversee the monthly and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare and present detailed financial statements and reports to management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecast financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
