Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for corporate clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for diverse business structures
- Implement and optimize internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional team members
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel functions
- Strong knowledge of NY tax regulations and multi-state compliance
- Proven ability to manage high-volume financial reporting deadlines
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
