Join our dynamic finance team in the heart of California's Central Valley! Central Valley Financial Group is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to drive financial excellence for our growing portfolio of agricultural and manufacturing clients. This is a hybrid role offering 3 days in-office (Fresno) and 2 days remote flexibility. You'll gain exposure to diverse industries while working with industry-leading ERP systems and a collaborative team that values professional development.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 business clients including AP/AR, payroll, and month-end closes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for C-suite clients
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for California-based businesses
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online and Sage 100 ERP integrations
- Lead tax preparation for S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts
- Conduct internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants on GAAP compliance and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with California business clients
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and payroll regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (PivotTables/VLOOKUP)
- Proven track record of managing complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced client-facing environment
- Valid California CPA license required
