Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and maintain robust financial models and forecasting systems
- Mentor junior accountants and optimize accounting workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and strategic planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage Intacct experience a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
